Lee was born in New York City. He left New York to attend college at Emory University where he received his B.A. in Political Science in 1976. Lee then received his J.D. from Emory University in 1979.

Lee practices exclusively in the area of civil trial work. He represents companies and individuals involved in business disputes and he also represents severely injured persons in personal injury claims.

In addition to being a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Bar Association and American Bar Association, Lee is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Lee is currently the president of the Sandy Springs Bar Association. He has also lectured on the trial of a case at Kennesaw State University.
